Dieting Tips for People Using Phenermine

Dieting Tips for People Using Phenermine

Phentermine is a prescription weight loss drug that has proven to be very effective at helping obese people lose weight quickly and safely. A similar product, Fen-Phen, is a derivative of phentermine but was quickly pulled off the market after 24 cases of heart valve disease were documented as being caused by the drug. Phentermine, as with any diet drug, has its side effects and can be dangerous if improperly taken with the incorrect amount of water and food. The proper diet when taking diet pills can make all the difference.

1,200 Calorie Diet

A popular diet used by many phentermine users is a 1,200 caloric intake per day. Many people understand that starving yourself will do nothing to help you lose weight. Your body will just begin to use less and less energy to make sure its reserves, your fat, stay replenished. The key is to trick your body into using those fat reserves. This is done by a nutritious yet caloric deficient diet and not a low-carb or plastic chicken diet like many people are telling you to do. Physicians agree that keeping your daily intake equal to about 650 carbohydrate calories, 190 protein calories and 360 fat calories will be beneficial to anyone taking a diet pill like Adipex or Ionamin.

Sample Meal Plan

Keeping your diet balanced is the goal with a 1,200 calorie diet, as you are taking in just enough calories to trick your body into using those reserves. Properly combining carbohydrates, proteins and fats into every meal will help your body lose the most amount of weight. An example of a well-balanced 1,200 calorie a day diet is as follows:
    Breakfast
    3/4 cup of oatmeal
    1/2 cup skim milk
    1 tbsp. raisins
    1 cup orange juice
    Unsweetened coffee/tea

    Lunch
    2 slices whole grain bread
4 ounce can of tuna fish in water
Small side salad with tomatoes, cucumbers and light salad dressing

    Dinner
    3 ounces grilled chicken
    1 cup steamed broccoli
1 baked potato with a small dollop of low-fat cottage cheese

It is also recommended to drink roughly 50 ounces of water per meal as it promotes weight loss. Being properly hydrated will also boost energy.
