This Mentos and soda experiment results in an eruption of soda up to 30 feet high. Onlookers are often amazed and science students are usually inspired upon witnessing such a geyser. Interestingly, the debate as to why this reaction occurs is ongoing within the scientific community. Some claim it is a chemical reaction while others say it is physical. With a simple two-liter of soda and a roll of chewy mint candies, you can easily demonstrate this silly and strange phenomenon.
