A raw food diet will alkalize your body through its use of fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables are naturally alkalizing, keeping your body from becoming too acidic. An alkaline body is healthier because your body can better fight off illness. Disease cannot thrive in an alkaline body. Eating a raw food diet, eliminating meat and dairy, will improve your health. To be successful, you must plan your meals and get tools to make the raw foods diet transition.

Eat uncooked fresh vegetables. Buy vegetables that you like to eat raw. Some examples include lettuce, spinach, celery, cucumbers, carrots and cauliflower. Don't be afraid to try vegetables that you have not tried before. Because vegetables are highly perishable, purchase them in small amounts, enough to last up to a week.
2Eat uncooked fruits. Not all fruits are alkaline, but some of the fruits that are alkaline include lemons, limes, avocados and tomatoes.
3Get protein from nuts, and eat seeds. Almonds have protein and are alkaline. You also can eat sunflower seeds, flax seeds and lentils.
4Never eat dairy, including eggs. Pasteurized milk, cheese and yogurt are not eaten in the raw foods diet, and they are too acidic. Fresh, homemade almond milk, made with almonds and water in a blender is allowed.
5Do not eat any meat. Meat or meat products are acidic and are not allowed in a raw foods diet.
